Terms of Service

The agreement between you and the seller of Resumi.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Resumi application ("the App") and any AI credits you purchase. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is provided by Resumi ("we", "us", "the seller").

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal or professional job-search purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. AI Credits

The App is free to download and use for building, editing, previewing, and exporting resumes. Certain optional features powered by artificial intelligence — including resume tailoring, AI-assisted ATS scoring, skill gap analysis, and resume import — consume AI credits.

• Each AI action costs one (1) credit, charged only when you trigger the action.
• New installations include a small number of free credits to try these features.
• Credits are a consumable digital good. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable once consumed.
• Credit packs are described on our pricing section and may change over time.

4. Purchases & Payment

How you purchase credits depends on how you obtained the App:

• Mac and Windows: credit packs are sold through Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and processes payments, invoicing, and applicable taxes on our behalf. Your purchase is also subject to Polar's terms.

All prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout and may include applicable taxes as calculated by the payment processor.

5. Refunds

Purchases are subject to our Refund Policy. Please review it before buying credits.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to create false, fraudulent, or misleading content, to violate the rights of others, or to break any applicable law. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and content of the resumes and information you create with the App.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, and its underlying software are owned by the seller and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The resumes and content you create with the App belong to you.

8. No Guarantee of Results

Resumi is a productivity tool. ATS compatibility scores, keyword suggestions, and AI-generated content are provided as guidance only. We do not guarantee that using the App will result in your resume passing any specific applicant tracking system, receiving an interview, or leading to employment. Hiring outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the seller shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunities, or profits arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
